Risotto with Mushrooms calls for the right wine pairing.
Risotto is a dish from Northern Italy where people eat a lot of rice. The cooking procedure is fairly complicated. Properly cooked risotto is rich and creamy but still with some resistance or bite: al dente, and the grains remain separate. There are many variations but this dish is usually served as a first course. For a real treat use fine mushrooms such as porcinis or portabellos.
In addition to the wines mentioned in our food pairing table you might consider an Italian Bardolino or Brunello di Montalchino.
