Swordfish calls for the right wine pairing.
Swordfish is a particularly popular food fish. Swordfish meat is usually sold as steaks, which are often grilled. Unfortunately swordfish may be a source of methylmercury toxins and so the FDA recommends that women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should eat no more than one seven-ounce serving a month; others should eat no more than one serving a week. Prepare swordfish steaks as you would salmon steaks but remember that swordfish dries out easily so use plenty of liquid or butter.
In addition to the wines mentioned in our food pairing table you might consider a Pinot Gris or a Pinot Noir.
